Description: New York Yacht Club American Magic, Challenger for the 36th America’s Cup, is seeking to expand its production team with additional boat builders and composites technicians. Joining American Magic provides opportunities to work alongside some of the top production and engineering talent in the marine, composites and aerospace industries. All applicants must be enthusiastic about a career in composites construction and keen to work in a team environment.
• Positions: Boat Builders & Composites Technicians
• Work Location: Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
• Work Period: January 2020 – Late 2020
Requirements:
• Experience with the use of both wet and pre-preg epoxy systems and fiber reinforcements
• Experience with the use of foam and/or honeycomb cores
• Good comprehension of shop floor designs/plans
• Experience with vacuum bagging techniques and materials
• Previous work within the composites construction industry and particularly the marine industry preferred
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens, green card holders or legally able to work within USA
